Sparks, Nevada is home to the state's first fuel plant of its kind, which combines low-sulfur diesel with natural gas. The plant will produce this combined fuel, which will be available to fuel thousands of the state's government fleet vehicles, resulting in lowered emissions, reports the Associated Press.
GDiesel, produced by the Reno-based Advanced Refining Concepts, received formal certification last week for the state's alternative fuels program, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection spokesman Vinson Guthreau told The Associated Press. [MORE]
